Andrea Barnes — Founder & Practitioner, La Sur Wellness & Co.

Andrea Barnes is the founder and primary practitioner of La Sur Wellness & Co., bringing more than two decades of experience, leadership, and patient-focused care to her community. Since beginning her healthcare career in 2001, Andrea has remained deeply committed to her patients, continually strengthening her clinical expertise while serving as a trusted mentor and role model in the communities she has worked with.

Andrea earned her Master of Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner degree in the United States, an experience that broadened her clinical perspective and enriched the approach she now brings to her Canadian practice. She further advanced her clinical skillset through a dedicated year of study in North Carolina and Michigan, where she honed her expertise as a medical cosmetic injector. She also obtained certification in Hormone Replacement Therapy, and PRP joint therapy with Ultrasound guidance. She is also currently undertaking a comprehensive dermatology specialty curriculum, demonstrating her commitment to becoming one of Thunder Bay’s foremost dermatology experts

A member of both the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario, Andrea is committed to evidence-based practice, lifelong learning, and high standards of professional excellence. Her diverse training in medical aesthetics, wound care, emergency response, and palliative approaches allows her to provide holistic, personalized care rooted in safety, skill, and compassion.

At La Sur Wellness & Co., Andrea blends her extensive healthcare background with a warm, patient-centered philosophy—empowering individuals to feel confident, supported, and well cared for at every step of their wellness journey.

Calvin Pelletier is a lifetime resident of Thunder Bay with over twenty years of experience in family medicine, palliative care and end-of-life care in Ontario, and various remote locations throughout northern Manitoba, Nunavut, NWT and Yukon. He holds several certifications in various areas. 

Calvin believes in creating a patient-practitioner relationship based on mutual respect, trust, and open, honest communication.

Corie brings over 30 years of dedicated nursing experience and started her journey in medical aesthetics at LaSur Wellness & Co. in 2022. Throughout her nursing career, Corie has exemplified compassion, professionalism, and a commitment to patient care, excelling in various clinical settings. She has combined her healthcare background with advanced aesthetic techniques, ensuring clients receive personalized, safe, and effective treatments at LaSur Wellness & Co. Her extensive experience enables her to provide a high standard of care that enhances both health and beauty, making her a trusted professional in the field.

Courtney is a passionate medical aesthetician with over 4 years of experience. She is dedicated to helping others feel comfortable and confident in their skin. Courtney earned her Medical Aesthetics Diploma from the School of Natural Medical Aesthetics in Saskatchewan. Her mission is to provide personalized treatments that enhance natural beauty while ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment for all clients. Courtney believes that everyone deserves to feel their best, and she’s here to make that happen!

Since 2014 Haley has worked as a nurse specializing in areas such as medical and emergency. Haley has always been drawn to the field of aesthetics and is excited to expand her skills by learning the latest techniques in Botox/fillers and other aesthetic treatments. Haley is also a certified lash tech and is the face behind Blink Lash Extension Co.
